Every November participants meet in Aberdeen to agree any changes to the content scope or format of the studies.
The Reviews were founded as a 'club' of Operators and continues to this day with this approach. This means that the Reviews participants are in control of the content of the studies, for deciding which data should be collected and how the results should be presented.
As it is not practical for every participant to travel to Aberdeen the proposed changes, and discussions about them, are also available on a discussion forum on the website.
Once the changes to the Reviews have been agreed at the annual particpants meeting the data input workbook and terms and conditions are prepared and circulated to existing and prospective participants.
Operators who choose to continue their participation or to join the studies then provide a Purchase Order for one or more years participation. They then begin to input their data into the data input workbook and submit it, by email attachment, for checking.
The data submitted is extensively checked and queries raised. Once all queries have been resolved a participant will be able to access the databank.
Participants are requested to submit their quarter 1 data by 15th May, quarter 2 data by 15th August, quarter 3 data by 15th November and quarter 4 data by 15th February of the following year.
Participants who join the study later in the year are requested to submit their data as soon as practicable.
